Oaktree Fishery provides a chance to go coarse fishing surrounded by beautiful, unspoilt North Devon countryside rich in wildlife, with far reaching views of the Exmoor National Park. A haven of peace and quiet covering almost 20 acres, it has been specially created to provide the ultimate coarse fishing experience for the serious fisherman [match, specimen or pleasure] or the absolute beginner who can expect to land a good sized bag of fish at their first attempt.

Fishing is available all year round. Snacks and drinks, hearty breakfasts, lunchtime meals in the 'Fisherman's Lounge' overlooking Otters Lake, toilet/shower facilities and tackle hire are also on site. Large car parks are available and easily accessible for the disabled or elderly next to Stags and Otters lake.

Camping and caravaning are available on site with toilets/shower facilities and a games room with pool table, etc. Several fine local Inns provide hospitality for weary fisher folk and there is always plenty to interest all tastes within a short drive, including family attractions, ancient villages, sandy beaches and wild, open moorland scenery. The area is ideal for walking, riding, birdwatching or simply just relaxing!!!

Oaktree Coarse Fishery consists of three richly stocked lakes. There are 2 pleasure / match fishing lakes and 1 specimen fishing lake.

Stags Lake: contains mirror & common carp [to 30+lbs], tench [to 8lbs], koi carp [to 18lbs] and perch [to 5lb+]. The lake is 2 acres in size with depths to 18ft+ and is normally well coloured. Home made boillies are the favoured bait, although chum mixer works in warm weather.

Oaktree & Otter Lakes: are around 2 acres and shallower. They are normally well coloured due to the populations of small carp, tench and roach that are present. Try waggler fished sweetcorn, maggot and worm, although feeder fishing also works. Pole takes the shoals of Carp that average 2-7lbs plus bonus fish.

open all year round
fish to be returned to the water immediately
all nets must be dipped in chemical tank prior to fishing
barbless hooks only
no nut-type baits to be used
all fisherman must have their own landing net [NO SHARING].
