Getting There:Head out of Launceston on the A30. After just over a mile, take the A395 towards North Cornwall. Take a right turn after 1/2 a mile at the "Hidden Valley" tourist sign. Follow the signs to the fishery.
Two coarse fishing lakes set amongst gorgeous countryside make up the venue at Hidden valley. A family adventure park, treasure hunts, golf and self catering accomodation are available as well as the fishing. Both are tree lined and have islands.
The
Top Pool is about an acre in size and is stocked with common and mirror carp to 16lb. Try hair rigged meat or corn for the carp. Alternatively, float a crust or chum mixer in the summer. Tench to over 4lb can be caught floatfishing corn, worm or maggot.
The
Bottom Pool is two acres in size and holds carp to 24lb, ghosties to 18lb, bream to 4lb, tench to 3lb and raoch to 2lb. For raoch and bream try float fished maggot over regular loose feed.
